The North Westwood Neighborhood Council – the official neighborhood council advocating for UCLA and Westwood to the Los Angeles City Council – met Oct. 11. The council’s meetings are open to the public and are held on the first Wednesday of the month at UCLA’s Weyburn Terrace.
Dozens of vendors from around Los Angeles set up shop on Broxton Avenue on Thursday to welcome Bruins and the Westwood community for this academic year’s inaugural First Thursdays block party.
Broxton Nights, a new monthly event on Broxton Avenue, launched Sept. 9 with an evening market and roller skating. The pop-up, which will occur on the second Saturday of each month, will have a different theme, vendors and activities each time, according to a Westwood Village Improvement Association newsletter.
