Debate commission. Hello and welcome to the first of two debates in the independent nonpartisan Debate Commission. Coming to you live in indianapolis. We will be hearing from the candidates on the ballot who want to be your governor. They are incumbent republican eric candidates thank you for joining us into giving an and gn opportunity to hear from you. The director for the indiana politics at Purdue University and a member of the Debate Commission i will be moderating. Like so many things weve had to make a few modifications to the debate because of the coronavirus. The candidates and i are in the building but we are in separate spaces so we are holding a virtual debate. People from around the state submitted hundreds of questions covering more than 90 topics.
