Local bars seek curfew exemption on Buckeyes, Browns big game days

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio Bars and restaurants are frustrated with the statewide COVID-19 curfew as the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes prepare for their biggest games of the year.
In fact - some bars want Governor Mike DeWine to grant a curfew exemption for them - just for the games, as they hope to cash in on the popular games after a tough 2020.

CLEVELAND In different times, downtown bars and restaurants would have been packed for Sunday night s Browns game, but a pandemic can change things.
Caps on crowds and a state-mandated curfew have impacted gatherings, but they have not stopped fans from supporting their team.

The Browns Backers are one of the largest organized fan clubs in all of pro sports and continue to rally both remotely and in-person for their team. They have found ways to gather and cheer and will once again be doing so tonight.
Browns Backers Presidents know Cleveland Browns football. And they search for other loyal Browns’ fans to gather, greet, socialize, and cheer on their beloved team.
Since this week’s opponent is the New York Football Giants, we wanted a chapter located in the area so that’s where the Brooklyn chapter comes in. They have a tradition where the patrons won’t drink the paired shot and beer until the Browns score. Since Cleveland has reeled off scores such as 41, 37, 35, 34, 32 and 49 points, their viewing location Johnny Mack’s has been a very happy place since the shots have been consumed early and often.
