2020 at Weber State University December 23, 2020 OGDEN, Utah – Amid the many challenges of 2020, Weber State University worked to provide a high-quality, student-centered educational experience. Here is a look back at WSU’s many highlights in 2020,  including an inauguration, a new scholarship initiative, transitions and testing because of COVID, student achievements, community outreach efforts and commencement under the stadium lights. January: During his inauguration as university president, Brad Mortensen announced ’CATapult, a scholarship fundraising initiative to raise $10 million. The initiative will help boost student recruitment, retention and completion rates by propelling students past financial obstacles that impede graduation.
