After the Christmas lights brought back sparkle to the town, retailers got behind the effort and decorated their shop windows for the festive season.
As is tradition, the LoveGorey judges have been busy selecting their winner for the Christmas Windows Competition and were happy to announce on Monday that this year s trophy went to Funge s Gorey.
Norma Quinsey of LoveGorey said that although there was a fantastic effort made by all, Funge s proved the most popular. The creation of a Winter Wonderland by the team at Funge s won high acclaim on social media with comments comparing their display to the Brown Thomas Christmas Window of Gorey and the two windows immediately succeed in creating the most magical of winter setting with the deer, lights and snow. This is the image of Christmas we long for throughout the year.
