I’m stopping short of breaking into the song “Happy Days Are Here Again,” but it is tempting. With the CDC announcement that requirements for wearing masks are being reduced, and summertime around the corner, it sure is starting to feel happy. Even our new governor, Dan McKee, smiled as he gave the last COVID-19 briefing at Veterans Memorial Auditorium this week. Personally, I would like to see those vaccination numbers much higher, but progress is being made in great strides toward getting us all to a safer place.
