Police tell us a 33 year old man is in custody. And the victims family was told by a detective. He turned himself in for the crime. Jennifer rivas says when she found this out. She was overwhelmed with joy. Surveillance cameras at cesar chavez and greenfield show rivas sister. 27 year old amy mayek mayehk the morning on october 5th. When a car strikes her head on. The driver fled the scene. Police were able to locate the car. But not the driver. Until wednesday. Mayek suffered brain trauma and several broken bones. Rivas says the road to recovery for mayek will be a long one. She had woken up from a medically induced coma. But suffered a set back this week. Mayek is back in the intensive care unit with pneumonia. And using a ventilator to breathe. Now that the breathing tubes are back she is being mildly sedated and not doing very well at this point in time. Im sure after the pneumonia clears we can start moving forward. Both men face up to twenty years in prison. Now to our big story at four. A 16 year olds death is ruled a homicide after his body was found in a West Side Neighborhood alley. Fox sixs Julie Collins is live near 38th and park hill road with the latest julie . It was down this alley where neighbors say they heard commotion and then gun shots. Milwaukee police said the victim 16 year old, travon overton was found wound. His body was found between this garage and trash cans you can see a bullet hole in the side of this garage. Neighbors say First Responders were out here for several hours trying to revive the boy without success. This all happened around 10 30 thursday morning. We spoke to several neighbors who didnt want to be identified but here is what one person told me about this tragedy anything to do with our neighborhood, i didnt know the young man. there are no suspects in custody. Clowns back in the day. Now its different no one is loving the clowns that hit the rock a bye daycare near 52nd and Center Thursday evening. Around 6thirty, thursday evening you can see in the upper left corner of the screen the day care video of a group of teens pounding on the window. One had a clown mask, trying to frighten the children inside. A staff member told them to leave, but the clown came back and did it again. Some of the children were so scared they ran into another room full of children and screamed that scary chaos erupted as children screamed and ran as staff was trying to calm them down. A seven Year Old Girl somehow slipped by and ran out a door. And seven blocks to her grandmothers house. It was real dangerous. She went through an alley. She took a busy street the little girl is safe, but her mother is concerned that her daughter was able to leave the daycare, seemingly unnoticed in the confusion. Aint too and the doors cannot be locked on the inside for fire safety
