Souleymane rescues Mohammedan | Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS)

217 DKAKA, May 1, 2021 (BSS)- Malian forward Souleymane Diabate scored a brace as Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited beat Arambagh Krira Sangha by 2-1 goals in the second round match of Bangladesh Premier League Football held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium here. In the day’s match, Diabate opened an account scoring the first goal for Mohammedan in the 9th minute but Mohammedan could not keep the lead when their midfielder Habibur Rahman Shohag scored a own goal in the 46th minute of the match bringing Arambagh in the match. As the match was heading for a tame draw, it was Diabate who rescued Mohammedan from total embarrassment scoring his second goal in the 90+2nd minute of the match.

180 DHAKA, April 29, 2021 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football resumes tomorrow (Friday) at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS). The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today released the fixture of the second round with three matches billed on the opening day. Defending champions Bashundhara Kings will take on Uttar Baridhara Club in the day’s first match at 4 pm , Abahani Limited, Dhaka meet Bangladesh Police Football Club in the day’s second match 7 pm while Brothers Union Club Limited face Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra day’s third and last match of the fixture at 9 pm. Instead of holding the matches in four venues BNS, Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi, Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla and Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj the BFF has decided to use only BNS during the lockdown to maintain Covid-19 protocols.

Dhaka Abahani return winning streak 263 DHAKA, March 4, 2021 (BSS)- After losing to holders Bashundhara Kings, Abahani Limited Dhaka, returned to the winning streak in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football when they beat Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 goals held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here. The winners’ led the first half by 1-0 goal. In the day’s match, Abahani Limited went attack early attacks and took the lead when Brazilian forward Francisco Wagsley opened an account scoring the first goal in the 26th minute from a penalty. After the resumption, the lead doubled for sky blue Dhanmondi outfit from a suicidal goal when Uttar Baridhara’s Uzbekistan defender Saiddoston Fozilov scored an own goal in the 55th minute of the match.
