Another powerful earthquake hits mexico and tonight the aftershock is causing a major setback in the search for survivors. Eyewitness News Reporter alycia nieves is live in the sat center. Shes got the latest for us tonight. Reporter natasha, the aftershock not only rattled rescuers in mexico but it sent them running and put a pause on rescue efforts, efforts to find people going on four days of being trapped under that rubble. A aftershocks sent people once again running into the streets reason search and rescue crews evaporating already mounds of debris. The quake brought down this bridge. Once the ground stopped shaking, crews returned to whats left of the six Story Office Building in mexico city where more than 40 people were listed as missing. An organization that helps North Koreans escape to freedom. This is in issue near to my heart. In 1947, my grandmother, then a 27yearold single mom and my mother, then a fiveyearold girl began a long, harrowing journey to escape north korea. Covering 200 miles over 21 days in moving about only in darkness to avoid contact with north Korean Police and soldiers. They miraculously arrived in seoul, korea. Overwhelmed it also overjoyed he and thankful. They donated all of the money in their position to a local church and started their lives over from the bottom. Related to academies our 120th academy are in the final weeks. There will be a graduation of 51 members. We started with 54 on november 4 at usf. They have been grairks to provide their presentation auditorium for us. 10 00 a. M. On november 4, a week from friday. With regards to the class we are anticipating hiring 54 members and into the academy. 42 will be off the National Testing network list and we will be bringing 12 employed members from station 49 over two weeks later to join the class so the original 42 will start on the 28th and they will be joined by members of station 492 weeks later. The two week gap which i think i have discussed before is that the members of station 49 have demonstrated their competency and theyre working on as paramedics and the first two weeks of the academy is evaluation of the emt skills so t
