A series of mosaic panels paying tribute to Palmers Green have been placed at Palmers Green Station. Platform one of Palmers Green Station now has four mosaic panels illustrating the local green spaces, rivers and natural wonders. Funded by Govia Thameslink Railway, and commissioned by Palmers Green Action Team, the project was put on pause due to the pandemic. But once restrictions eased over last summer, designers Alex McHallam and Tamara Froud contacted Broomfield School and collaborated with students to create the panel including a beehive – which appears on the school emblem. One panel also references the pandemic as it includes a discarded face mask.
