A Buford man who shot and killed two women a week ago in a home in East Hall County is dead from injuries suffered in the same incident.
The Hall County Sheriff s Office confirmed the death of Shamiek Johnson, 26, in a Wednesday morning email statement. Johnson died on Thursday, Feb. 25, the day after the double murder on Broome Road.
The investigation to date shows Johnson shot and killed Anne Marie Wilson, 50, and her daughter Lauren Wilson, 20, and then turned the gun on himself. Johnson was hospitalized in critical condition immediately after the shooting.
Investigators said Johnson and Lauren Wilson had a child together, so they believe the shootings were related to a domestic dispute. The sheriff s office did not have updated information on the child s custody status.

A Hall County school bus was in an accident Monday morning in the East Hall County area.
School District spokesman Stan Lewis confirmed the accident on Broome Road at East Hall Road. He said the bus was carrying East Hall Middle and High School students.
Lewis said one student complained of back pain and was released to their parents. The rest of the students arrived at school.
The Georgia State Patrol said in an email statement that the bus driver failed to maintain lane while traveling north on East Hall Road, traveling off the roadway and down a slight embankment, and hitting a tree.
