JAMAICA, QUEENS A massive COVID-19 vaccination site with the capacity to inoculate 3,000 people a day is opening Wednesday at York College in Queens, but only certain neighborhood residents will be eligible at first.

Two of the state s largest COVID-19 vaccination centers in Brooklyn and Queens will open Wednesday.
The new sites are located at Brooklyn s Medgar Evers College and York College in Queens. Appointments are available online for those eligible to get a shot, with nearby residents in the boroughs prioritized first.
New Yorkers can check if they are eligible for a shot at the state s Am I Eligible website here. As of Sunday afternoon, thousands of appointments were showing up as available, according to a review of availability by Gothamist.
