Fire damages Brookfield apartment building, no one injured By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  When crews arrived on the scene they found light smoke coming from a second-floor apartment window. The fire was contained to the kitchen of a single upstairs apartment unit and was nearly extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system that had activated prior to fire department arrival. Two families were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by the Red Cross.  No injuries were reported.  There is no damage estimate at this time. 

Milwaukee man arrested, suspected of OWI following I-94 rollover crash in Brookfield

The crash happened Thursday morning, May 27, and blocked all westbound lanes of traffic.  According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a woman was trapped inside the vehicle that rolled over. Officials were able to safely get her out and she was transported to Froedtert Hospital with minor injuries.  The second driver, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody for possible impairment. Charges of operating with impaired causing injury will be referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney s Office.  The Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the town of Brookfield and city of Brookfield Fire Departments.  Share this article:

After building fire, Innovative Signs setting up temporary home base until it can move into new facility Share Last updated on February 11th, 2021 at 01:00 pm Innovative Signs Inc. is working to set up a temporary home base until it can move into a new building after a fire over the weekend destroyed its existing town of Brookfield facility. Chad Schultz The industrial building at 21795 Doral Road caught fire around 12:55 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, according to a news release from the town of Brookfield Fire Department. Its occupants were Innovative Signs and Chad Schultz, president and owner of Innovative Signs, said half of the 12,000 square feet the company was leasing in the building was destroyed. Innovative Signs lost a 60-foot bucket truck, two work vans and three printers.
