The Woodland High School Agriculture Program was among the six programs recognized by the Yolo County School Boards Association for Excellence in Education last week.
Exactly a month after she was born, the newest baby giraffe at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has been given her forever name, BB. The name is an abbreviation for Bailey’s Baby, her mother is Bailey and her father is Khalid. She is a petite girl, one of the smallest to be born at the zoo, but is healthy and hasn’t had any trouble fitting in with the rest of the herd. BB gets a nuzzle from one of the herd while hanging out in the giraffe yard on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.
