Timaru Sacred Heart School s annual fundraiser kept volunteers busy over the weekend as they endeavoured to fill an order for almost 60,000 cheese rolls.
With enough orders to feed the entire population of the district, members of a small Timaru primary school have spent the weekend in the kitchen whipping up a massive number of cheese rolls. It will take more than one tonne of cheese, 60 kilograms of chopped onions, and more than 3000 loaves of bread, to make the almost 60,000 cheese rolls ordered in Sacred Heart Primary School s annual fundraiser - a school in a district of about 46,296 people.
