It runs from here to silverton. Case that the canyon is at least 80 miles in length. The river is probably more like 120 miles. It is the second largest canyon in the United States after the grand. It is not a single canyon. There are many canyons that branch off to the sides. We are standing in an area or we can see three canyons from where we are at right now. It is a much bigger system than people realize even with a brief visit to the state park. I grew up here in amarillo. As a young kid, i remember coming out in elementary school. And after that, as soon as i got my drivers license, i was driving out here every time i could, ringing friends. We would explore some of the caves. We explored some of the caves right down there. I can tell you it is much bigger than what you think it is from looking at it. The call came in to police and firefighters a disabled vehicle in the middle of the street in china, that black suv is the one in question you see a man slumped over the steering wheel, a lot of concerned citizens trying to get around the car and make sure that this guy gets the help that he needs. When Police Arrive you notice that the guy isnt completely out of it. There is some movement inside the cabin, theyre knocking theyre trying to get this guy to wake up, hope that hes all right but eventually firefighters have to show up. Police arent able to get this guy out. He doesnt appear to be sick at all. Actually is on the phone, too, and at one point reports say that the car lunged forward as well, now we need to start working with a heavier hand. Firefighters bust open the window get the guy out, hes walking on his own two feet. Sick no medical emergency, no. Drunk, according to police yes. Wow. That makes sense, the good thing is he was stop

The report says the driver was going too fast for the Road Conditions but smashes right into the front of this small kia. The driver survived this incident, was taken to the hospital with a concussion and other minor injuries but not seriously hurt, thank goodness. We can say the same for the folks in this video.
