Our CorrespondentImphal, Oct. 1 (EMN): The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal will have a separate power supply substation within the current month to meet the increasing power demands. This was disclosed by Prof. A Santa, Director of RIMS, on the sidelines of inaugurating a 50-bedded COVID care/Infectious Diseases Centre along with PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen generator and refilling station, and COVID care private ward at its campus. “RIMS consumes a huge power supply for its functioning and we’ve dedicated a 3 MW power supply line from the state government. But we’ve crossed the consumption level,” Prof. Santa said. “The government suggested setting up a separate substation. So we’re going to have a separate sub-station within this month. A 33kV high tension line directly from Yurembam is coming up. This sub-station will be bigger than the power consumed in both Thangmeiband and Uripok assembly constituencies.” During the day’s function
