If you buy your apples in the supermarket, there’s a good chance you will choose Pink Ladies.
But Rick Stein, the restaurateur and television presenter, has urged British shoppers to change their shopping habits and avoid making “dumbed down” choices for the sake of convenience.
In his new BBC series, Rick Stein’s Cornwall, he visits an orchard at Tresillian House near Newquay that boasts 84 varieties of Cornish apple.
