Man wanted in Saginaw County murder case found dead in area park

SAGINAW, MI A Saginaw man wanted in connection with a 2019 murder and the shooting of a woman on Thursday, Jan. 7, has been found dead.
About 11:30 a.m. Friday , police responded to Wickes Park Drive in Saginaw and discovered the body of 25-year-old Joseph T. Black. Black had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and investigators are treating the death as a homicide, said Michigan State Police Lt. Lizabeth Rich.
Police have not identified any suspects in the shooting and Rich could not disclose additional details.

SAGINAW, MI Police in Saginaw are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a 2019 murder as well as a shooting that occurred Thursday, Jan. 7.
The Saginaw Major Crimes Unit issued a statement about 9 p.m. Thursday that it is currently looking for Joseph Thorton Black, 25, a Black male who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Black is from the Saginaw area and is wanted on an open murder warrant issued by authorities on Jan. 29, 2020.
