Marian Gruver Mellen, 94, died on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, S.C.
She was born at home in Tinicum Township, Pa., in Bucks County, and lived in Chatham before moving to Warren in 1980. She was living with her son Donald and his wife Anne in Lexington, S.C., for the past 14 months, after suffering a mild stroke in August 2019.
She was a housewife who loved gardening, cooking, keeping her home beautiful and crafting. Even in the last few months of her life, she was creating a beautiful fabric bedspread. Again, up to the end, she helped her son with his garden, after having been a keen gardener all of her life.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or event if you don’t, residents should consider getting tested for the virus. the Morongo Basin Healthcare District will provide free COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines at various community centers in the Basin for the remainder of 2020.
Though the services are open to all, those with health insurance are asked to bring their information so that insurance can be billed. Drive-thru testing will be offered at the following locations from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.:
