Resurfacing: Sections of Wood Farm Road in Oxford have been closed since Sunday due to resurfacing works. The roadworks are expected to take two weeks to be completed, between 7.30am and 4.30pm on weekdays. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
Bridge replacement: A bridge over a brook is being replaced, meaning it will be closed until the middle of June. Work on the bridge over Broadwell Brook in Alvescot is set to be completed by June 18.
County Durham man claims to be barrister to make a gain and pays for it THE following cases were heard at Teesside and Cleveland Magistrates Court this week. BRANDON BULMAN, 23 of Woodbine Close in Great Ayton was fined £233 after being caught behind the wheel while having two extra passengers laid in the back of the vehicle which could have resulted in danger. The defendant was found guilty through a single justice procedure and was made to pay £32 to victim services and £110 of court costs. KIMBERLY BOND, 36 of Little Eden in Peterlee was committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 12 months after assaulting a woman and causing her actual bodily harm. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £500 in compensation and was given a restraining order.
