Islamabad [Pakistan], January 23 (ANI): Amid the controversy surrounding the Broadsheet saga, a Pakistani journalist has warned people in Islamabad who are unnerved by the corruption of civil-military bureaucrats, saying that Pakistan s assets abroad could be seized in other graft cases, including one involving Roosevelt Hotel in New York.
Writing for The Friday Times, Najam Sethi said that Islamabad must get ready for a meltdown when Pakistani assets abroad are sized including the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) owned Roosevelt Hotel, which is embroiled in Reko Diq case.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz launched a sharp attack on Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. She said that PM has fallen into the same trap they had set for him.
In a meeting with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz at Lahore s Accountability Court on Sunday, Maryam said, The opponents wanted to trap the Nawaz Sharif [in litigation], but they now face the Broadsheet case against themselves. These elements are so corrupt that they even sought money from the company.
The Express Tribune further quoted PML-N Vice President as saying that all these cases will be abolished one day and her party will emerge victorious. She said, This is not accountability, this is revenge, she said while adding, We will also win the by-polls.
