Today our high reached 69 degrees and were going to do it all over again as we head into tomorrow. Temperature wise 62 in philadelphia, 52 pottstown, low 50s in allentown and close to 60 in the poconos. Your eighthour city planner shows by 8 00 a. M. , 59, 56 by 11 00 p. M. And overnight lows will actually stay in the 50s. So a closer look at how far above average we are, average for this time of year is 46 degrees. We already set a new record today. Information right after she said the threat is not over. Here at southwest detectives weve been here all afternoon. Weve seen police already making changes. Theyre doubling up, working in pairs. That is something that has gone on since thursday night after the ambush on officer Jesse Hartnett. Police confirmed that yesterday a woman who wished to stay anonymous approached an officer on the street. She warned that the man now charged in the shooting of officer hartnett was, quote, part of a group that consists of three others and they still frequent the 6100 block of pine. Police should be careful. Weve heard from police who call this a troubling time but it wont stop them from doing their jobs. I understand that there are a lot of good people out here in society. Eli waller, a student, came down with respiratory problems two weeks ago. The coroner confirmed his cause of death is directly linked to enterovirus d68. The virus has sickened more than 500 people in 43 states. Almost all of them children. The virus attacks rapidly and suddenly. That evening he was asymptomatic and fine and the next morning he had passed. Health Officials Say they will likely never know how and where he was exposed to the virus. Parents are concerned for the health of their own children, especially those with preexisting conditions. This mans son attends Yardville Elementary School where another child was being tested for the virus. Of course its on everybodys mind. Its human nature. People are nervous. Theyre scared. The School District says its added extra staff to disinfect the schools, doing what it can to alleviate fears and stop the spread of virus. Eli was a triplet with two sisters. His parents have asked for privacy. Another meeting is tomorrow at 7 00 p. M.
