Columbia police arrest 5 at Saddle Ridge residence

Several people were arrested at a southwest Columbia residence early Tuesday morning.
An ABC 17 news crew at the scene said officers could be heard saying Columbia police come out, outside a house in the 5500 block of Saddle Ridge Drive. Five people were taken into custody at the residence.
Police department spokeswoman Brittany Hilderbrand said a neighbor called reported a possible burglary around 3:30 a.m. after seeing the lights were on in the residence that was supposed to be vacant.
At least three Columbia Police Department vehicles responded to the house around 4 a.m. There was a sign in front of the house that said it was under contract.

Columbia police responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Clark Lane Tuesday morning at 8:36 a.m.

Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Brittany Hilderbrand said three people were hurt in the shooting that was described as a domestic violence incident.
It has been confirmed that the male initiated the violence inside the residence.
Hilderbrand included there were two female victims and one male victim. One female and male were 19 years-old, while the other female age 36.

Columbia police arrested a wanted man after a four-hour long standoff that began after a vehicle chase Wednesday morning.

At 10:34 a.m., Columbia police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Douglas Antonio Lee, 42, of Columbia near 33 E. Broadway before Lee drove off and CPD chased after him.
