Coldwater, MI, USA / WTVB | 1590 AM · 95.5 FM | The Voice of Branch County Feb 17, 2021 11:11 AM QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council approved the renewal of Village Manager Brittany Butler’s contract for one year on Tuesday night. The contract runs from February 1 of this year until January 31, 2022. Butler’s salary for the next year will be determine during the upcoming budget negotiations. Terms of the contract include evaluations of Butler’s performance as Village Manager at or around the three, six and 12 month anniversary dates of the contract. Unless she expressly requests in writing to the Village Council, the evaluations would be conducted in executive sessions and shall be considered confidential to the extent permitted by law.

With COVID-19 protocols preventing government boards from holding in person meetings, business has to be conducted via Zoom. The hack happened as Quincy Police Chief Jeremy Burch was giving an update on his department and going over statistics. Village Manager Brittany Butler had to stop Burch’s presentation when she noticed the hack. Someone named Ryan then said something to Butler about screen share. After several seconds of silence, a group of voices then came on and stopped the meeting.
