The state and defense teams gave their closing arguments to jurors Friday morning. The jury began deliberations around 1 p.m. The state highlighted the brutality of Young s killing. In 2018, Alliniece reportedly stomped on Young’s head, which killed her. The attorney listed off each injury Young sustained while holding up both autopsy pictures and the shoe Alliniece wore the day he killed Young. The prosecutor matched the pattern on the sole to bruising shown in the pictures.

Joseph Fidel Alliniece, 32, of Missouri City, Texas, was found guilty Monday of the first-degree murder of Brittani Young, 27, two counts of kidnapping and one count of robbery by force or fear. Records show the crimes occurred April 24, 2018, inside an Emerald Greens Apartments residence, and that Alliniece stomped on Young multiple times. Allinieceâs parents, Brenda and Gary, testified about their sonâs childhood, describing him as happy, sweet, loving and well liked growing up.
