Health Department provides COVID-19 update, announces PCG will handle contact tracing going forward Information submitted Thursday, May 6, 2021 7:52 PM VAN WERT – On May 6, 2021, the Van Wert County General Health District reported an increase of 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, April 29, 2021, for a total of 2,372 confirmed cases. There are no known hospitalization at this time. To date, the health department has given 10,452 COVID-19 vaccinations. The following clinic dates are scheduled at this time: Thursday, May 13, time 2-6 pm at the VW County Health Department- Moderna and Pfizer- 1st and 2nd Doses Pfizer vaccine is available to all those age 16 and up and Moderna is available to all those age 18 and up. Unless specified, the clinic dates are for all those who wish to receive a first dose and anyone eligible to receive their second dose of that vaccine. Please bring your photo id and any insurance info.
