Master builder leaves €2m for UCC s music department Updated / Monday, 18 Jan 2021 14:28 Sidney V Regan, who died in 2017, bequeathed almost all of his estate to the university. A British Master builder, Mr Regan moved with his wife Hilda to Cork in the 1960s and became very involved in the local music scene. A member of the Commodore Male Voice Choir in Cobh, he was also a member of the Cobh Gramophone Society. The couple were close friends of the late composer Aloys Fleischmann, who was also Professor of Music at UCC, and Mr Regan bequeathed the gift  to his friend s beloved music department .
