A Twitter post by the British Antarctic Survey on Feb. 26 stated the iceberg broke off the Brunt Ice Shelf, a process referred to as “calving.” The #BruntIceShelf has calved along the #NorthRift. #Chasm1 and the #HalloweenCrack have not grown in the last 18 months.
