A road in Blackburn will be closed for two weekends while a zebra crossing is installed. School Lane will be closed on for the next two weekends, starting on Saturday (April 10) for the council to install a new zebra crossing outside the post office. During the week, a phased one way system will be in operation from 8am to 6pm while over the two weekends traffic control will involve full road closures and diversions. A spokesperson for the council said: We appreciate the inconvenience and disruption these works will cause, we will be working as quickly as we can to complete the works and minimise disruption.
