The vote makes it almost certain that brexit will happen by january 31st ending decades of uk membership of the European Union. The Prime Minister won with a majority of more than 100 votes including six from the opposition labour party. The Withdrawal Agreement now approved in principle by mps says. The uk will leave the eu on the 31st of january and imposes a transition period until the end of 2020, during which britain will still abide by eu rules.
