✖
Wonder Woman 1984 made its triumphant debut over the weekend, with audiences being able to check it out both in theaters and on HBO Max. The DC blockbuster has no shortage of surprising moments and head-scratching questions, especially with regards to its ensemble of new and returning characters. One of the most unexpected plotlines was with regards to Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), the fighter pilot and love interest of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), who returned despite being dead for decades. As those who have seen the film know, there s a very specific and fantastical way that Steve gets brought back and the film enlisted a fan-favorite actor to help get it done.
eagerly anticipated, highly secretive. how much are you allowed to actually tell me about this film? listen, nobody s stopping us. everyone dies in the end. not true. he plays a disillusioned dreamer in what the director describes as a sci-fi action adventure road movie fable made by walt disney. our parent company. country star tim mcgraw plays dad to brit robertson, an optimistic dreamer recruited to save our planet. have you actually seen it. i haven t seen it. no. shall we tell him he s not in it? you re completely framed out of this shot. the tomorrowland in the title is a parallel word and image of an ideal future from a 1964 perspective, monorails and leather suits, not the future we re now in. when we were kids, we weren t dreaming about staring at a phone. i have three daughters. i would like to see their faces
