Brimsham students with boxes of their reverse advent calendars Students at Brimsham Green School, Yate, have made Christmas a little bit more special for some vulnerable families in the community. Teachers at the school asked students to join in a festive incentive and produce reverse advent calendars for families that may need support over the Christmas period. Children have spent the days in December filling a hamper, putting in one item each day, collecting food for the local food bank. The school partnered with Trussel Trust who work with Yate Foodbank in Station Road. Assistant Head, Mrs Hewitt said: We have found great joy as a school community over the past two weeks collecting food for the food banks.
