The legislation was passed by the City Council and was sponsored by Councilwoman Debi Rose (D-North Shore).
According to Rose, these four Staten Islanders deserve to be remembered because of all they have done for the community.
“These four Staten Islanders distinguished themselves by giving back to the community throughout their lives,” said Council Member Debi Rose, who introduced the legislation for these co-namings. “Each has left a rich legacy in our borough, a legacy that we now honor formally with a street sign that will permanently share the contributions of these individuals for all to see.”
