The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering infrastructure upgrades to meet the growing needs of today’s racing participants, as well as the next generation.
Today I have announced further detail about our $3 million investment into one-off infrastructure upgrades at the Longford Racecourse, the Brighton Training Centre and the Devonport Racing Club, delivering on our commitment in our first 100 day plan.
The greyhound, harness and thoroughbred training tracks at the Brighton Training centre are used 365 days a year by trainers across all three codes.
Funding of $800,000 will be provided to these facilities to address infrastructure needs including important track drainage upgrades and improvements to the Brighton Greyhound Straight track and lure replacement.
