Bengaluru News Live Updates (December 31): Vehicle entries and parking have been restricted in places like MG Road, Indiranagar, and Church Street; while special drives and fines to check drunken drive have also been organised.
Officials are warning of strict action if anyone breaks this rule. “Many people wanted to go to a hill or a nearby forest on December 31 for a night or early morning trek to welcome the new year from the top. However, this is quite dangerous, so we decided to ban all such night treks on New Year’s Eve to avoid people going to restricted areas,” said an official.
