Share Three goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half pushed the Lakers to a win Thursday afternoon.
A big second half for the Windermere Prep girls soccer team was more than enough to seal up a 3-0 win over Foundation Academy at home Thursday, Jan. 28.
In the first half the Lakers (9-2) had plenty of opportunities on goal, but a combination of overshot balls and stellar goalkeeping by Lions goalie Avery Bangsund who finished the night with 24 saves helped the Lions (6-6-1) keep the home side in check. The Lakers best chance to score in the opening half came when junior Courtney Mogauro was taken down in the box for a penalty kick, before sending her shot wide.
