A NEW plan to secure the future of a Bridport landmark has been drawn up – with new tenants being brought in. A new plan for the use of Literary and Scientific Institute (LSi) in East Street has been put into motion following a series of consultations. The use of the LSi has been reviewed and reorganised to ensure its financial viability and sustainability. The new plans will see commercial and charity tenants using the building with community access to events and facilities within the LSi. The Bridport Area Development Trust (BADT) believes it has found a solution which ensures a viable and sustainable future for the LSi, in which it will continue to make a meaningful and important contribution to the social, economic and cultural life of the town.
