A BRIDGWATER based nursery retailer is going the extra mile to ensure that children, whose parents are struggling financially, will be able to unwrap a gift on Christmas day this year. Staff at Hippychick have been busy boxing up hundreds of gifts which have been hand delivered to various charities in South Somerset. Several boxes were delivered to the Bridgwater Branch of the Salvation Army, who are expecting increased demand from families needing help from their annual Christmas Present Appeal this year. Julia Minchin, managing director and founder of Hippychick, said: ‘We’re delighted to be able to do a little bit to help those who are struggling to make ends meet and simply won’t be in a position to afford Christmas.
