Castle Hill in Winchester: location of Winchester Coroners Court A WINCHESTER woman was found unresponsive by a friend bringing her shopping, an inquest heard. Mary Bridget O’Leary was discovered at her home in St John’s Street on January 7. Emergency services were called, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. An inquest has now been opened into her death by area coroner Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp at Winchester Coroner’s Court. A post mortem carried out by pathologist Dr Adnan Al-Badri concluded that the 79-year-old died of a fracture of vertebra - to be investigated. Mrs Rhodes-Kemp adjourned the hearing, and a full inquest will take place on September 29.
