SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - When Ginger Threads Collections founders, Shayna Dorris and Bridget Collins envisioned opening a sustainable fashion boutique, the pandemic was nowhere in sight. They created a logo, built a website and started finding brands to partner with. As the inventory started coming in, the Covid-19 cases around the world started to climb. The boutique officially launched as planned on March 18, 2020 as the United States went under a stay-at-home order. It certainly wasn’t ideal, but it was too late to turn back! The boutique has the best handmade jewelry and quality clothing from “hidden gem” designers and artisans from all over the United States and around the world. Even during the pandemic, the boutique outgrew the small rented space, and a retail location became the next logical step.
