Johnson County will apply to the Wyoming Department of Transportation
(WYDOT) for their annual funding for CMAQ, or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funding after the county commission gave their approval at their meeting this week.
County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer brought the information before the commission, asking for approval to apply for the funding which will be awarded in 2021 and used for dust abatement projects on county roads in the spring of 2022.
Pehringer gave the roads that will be part of the 2022 project.
Pehringer said the total amount of the county’s projects will be $533,000 with the county’s 20% contribution being roughly $107,000 with the amount requested from the state at roughly $426,000.
