(Lanning Taliaferro/Patch) BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY Here s your Christmas present, Gordon Yunge said, sliding a gift bag across the table to his wife, Jane. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Monday was the first time he had been able to see her since Thanksgiving. For Gordon, it s been hard. He s been visiting Jane, who has Alzheimer s disease, just about every other day since she moved to the Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing three years ago.

Chabad of Briarcliff/Ossining Plans Chanukah Car Menorah Parade

By Sophia Richter | December 10, 2020 Amid the pandemic, Chabad Lubavitch of Briarcliff-Ossining recognized the crucial importance of bringing Chanukah’s message of light and hope to the Jewish community. To accomplish this, while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocol, Chabad will be having a Car Menorah Parade on Sunday, December 13, beginning at 3:30 p.m.. The parade will depart from 15 Campwoods Road in Ossining, traveling to five care facilities in Ossining and Briarcliff: Atria Briarcliff, The Club at Briarcliff Manor, Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Sunshine Children’s Home & Cedar Manor Nursing Center, and culminate in a drive-in giant menorah lighting in Ossining’s Market Square.
