The Office actor, Marcus A York, dead at 55

Mark York, an actor who was notable for his performances as Billy Merchant in the early years of The Office, has died. He was 55. An obituary for the actor said York died on May 19 at Miami Valley Hospital in Ohio following a brief and unexpected illness. A cause of death was not disclosed. York was a paraplegic since 1988 but his disability didn’t stop him from leading a life of positivity while inspiring those around him with his outgoing and uplifting approach to life.

A trio of seats in the town, all previously held by the Conservatives, went to Labour after votes were counted at the Radlett Centre on Saturday. The party claimed both county council seats in Borehamwood as well as the vacant borough council seat in the Kenilworth ward. Cowley Hill Labour councillor Richard Butler secured victory in Borehamwood South in the Hertfordshire County Council elections - the first time Labour have won the seat in 20 years.

12:39PM15 April 2021 The wheel will turn full circle for much-travelled former Sydney champion apprentice jockey Ron Stewart when he makes a hit-and-run Group 1 raid in Sydney for master trainer Chris Waller on Saturday. The Sydney jockeys’ room was where Brisbane hoop Stewart cut his teeth, winning the apprentices title in 2002-03, in a journey which has since seen him ride internationally in Singapore, Mauritius and Macau. Now firmly established as part of the Queensland riding ranks, the 37-year-old lightweight rider has been called up by Waller to ride former import Selino in the Sydney Cup (3200m) at Randwick on Saturday.
