Change Of Command Ceremony Held At Fort Campbell

The 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell welcomed their 48th commander during a ceremony Friday afternoon. Major General Brian Winski, who served as commander since 2019 and through the COVID-19 pandemic, said he had spent a total of 15 years at Fort Campbell, serving in numerous capacities. Winski thanked everyone he worked with, especially the soldiers who serve at the installation.

FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The 101st Airborne Division held a change of command ceremony Friday at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, welcoming Maj. Gen. Joseph (JP) McGee as its new commanding general. McGee is no stranger to Fort Campbell, having been assigned to the post multiple times throughout his career. He served from December 2006 to February 2009 as commander of the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT (Bastogne). Fort Campbell & Lendlease celebrate housing development groundbreaking

FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday on Fort Campbell to celebrate the beginning of an $87.4 million housing development project as the Army follows through on its commitment to significantly improve family housing. The U.S. Army Garrison-Fort Campbell and Lendlease, the Army’s privatized housing partner, announced the project, which is focused on junior enlisted housing. Construction will involve 144 new three-and- four-bedroom homes, major renovation on 170 homes, and demolition of 250 homes over the next five years.
