Events allowing patrons to browse Wells Public Library is expanding its hours, allowing a limited number of patrons into the building to browse and check out items at 1434 Post Road. The library is now open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday for indoor browsing and from 5 to 6 p.m. for curbside Pickup. Tuesday and Thursday hours are 1 to 5 p.m. for indoor browsing and 5 to 6 p.m. for curbside pickup. Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for browsing. Masks are required. Entrance is through the rear doors and exit is through the front doors. There is no public computer use. All returning materials must be dropped in the book drop at the back of the building. Visits are limited to 15 minutes.

(Photo by Brian Willson) Coastal Mountains Land Trust will co-host an online Zoom presentation titled “Birds of Midcoast Maine and Utah’s Wasatch Range with Brian Willson”  Thursday, May 13, at 6 p.m., with the Camden Public Library.  In his years of near-daily hikes to the summit of Beech Hill Preserve with his good dog, Captain Jack, avid birder and amateur nature photographer Brian Willson ended up with thousands of photos of wild Maine birds. A couple of years ago, on something of a lark, Willson moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where his routine hikes with Jack have become quite a bit steeper. By now he’s got a pretty good photo portfolio of western species.

May Virtual Gallery:  Visual Artists – Our Journey to a Personal Project . During the month of May, the Camden Public Library will host an online show of photographic artwork by Sue Michlovitz and Dianne Kittle, who are presently completing Master of Fine Arts degrees at Maine Media College in Rockport.
