you can follow us on abc 7 news bay area. good afternoon, i m cheryl jennings. i m dan ashley. bart and unions are back at the negotiating table right now. both sides say they ll do anything to avoid a strike which could happen as early as monday morning. bart unions have been talking since 11:00 this morning. they said there was nothing new to report at this hour, we tried to get a hold of unions and told us they were too busy to give us an update. the day began with a shift in the approach. atu and nciu negotiators huddled outside before heading into the table. on this second day since the unions authorized a strike bart said it was bringing another offer to the table. and unions at the same time, bart said it does listen to unions and solves safety problems year round. district showed drawings of a can yopy tested in oakland. it can be locked up to keep transients from using it as a home and a rest room. we talked to atu negotiator about concerns before he had a
