CAROLINA BEACH - The Town of Carolina Beach is implementing a new strategy for dealing with trash on the beach front; they are removing the big blue trash barrels. The goal is to promote a new program called, Pack it in, pack it out meaning that everyone visiting the beach must take their trash with them when they leave.
The goal of the new program is to help maintain a clean and safe environment for beach visitors and wildlife.

CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. (WECT) - Carolina Beach officials will soon implement a new trash program known as âPack It In/Pack It Outâ that will ask beachgoers to take their trash with them and drop it off in new carts set up away from the strand.
âOver the next few weeks, existing blue trash barrels will be removed from all beach space areas except those near the boardwalk,â a news release announcing the change stated.â Town staff will place new 96 gallon trash carts donated by GFL on the landward side of each beach access or walkway, and beachgoers can discard items there.â
