Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation is getting ready to welcome the community back to Westover Pool as summer nears and COVID-19 safety regulations relax in light of positive vaccination rates.
The pool facility reopened for lap swim reservations for fitness on Monday, following the conclusion of the winter dome season. Now, the Parks & Rec team is preparing to add limited capacity recreational swim for the Memorial Day weekend and extending throughout summer in addition to lap swim reservations.

the job he s doing. more troublesome for the president is his approval rating on the economy, which voters say is the most significant issue. they ve been consistently low for the past year, now only 37% of voters approving. unemployment is stuck at 9%. no president has been re-elected with numbers this bad since franklin delano roosevelt. mr. obama s advisers say they know this reelection will be a fight, so throughout the summer, he will be taking his economic message on the road with speeches in key swing states. those are nice tshirts. reporter: last week he talked about the rebirth of the auto industry in ohio. today it was expanding job training initiatives in northern virginia. but voters like courtney want results. i m living paycheck to paycheck, and i don t know who s fault it is. it doesn t matter whose fault it is. it s that i live in a country that says it s number one, why do i feel like, you know, i m at the bottom of the barrel. reporter: and that s th
