MASSENA State police have charged a Massena woman after an investigation into a traffic fatality that has been ongoing since late 2019.
On May 12, State Police charged 44-year-old Lisa L. Rupert of Massena, following an investigation of a Nov. 8, 2019 fatal car crash on State Route 37 in the town of Malone.
Police say the investigation revealed that a 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer operated by Rupert was traveling east on State Route 37 when she crossed over the double-solid lines and struck a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country, operated by Charles V. Yaddow, 49, of Brasher, traveling westbound.
Franklin County Coroner Brian Langdon responded and pronounced Yaddow deceased at the scene. The front seat passenger of Yaddow’s vehicle, Kimberly S. Delles, 42, of Brasher, was transported to the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone where she was later pronounced dead, troopers said.
